Ingredients
- 1 pkg. dry yeast
- 2 Tbsp. sugar
- 1 c. warm water (105~ to 115~)
- 2 Tbsp. shortening
- 2 1/2 c. flour
- 1 tsp. salt
- 1 egg, well beaten or 2 egg whites
Directions

1Mix yeast, sugar and water.

2Let set about 5 minutes.

3Add egg, flour, salt and shortening; mix well.

4Cover; let rise 45 minutes in warm place.

5Punch down; roll out dough and cut into rolls. Press rolls flat.

6Let rise 1 hour.

7Bake at 400° for 15 to 20 minutes.

8Can be used in bread machine by putting all ingredients in machine and using lukewarm water.
