- 2 lb. fresh sea scallops
- 1/2 c. (1 stick) butter or margarine
- 3 Tbsp. chopped parsley
- 1 1/2 tsp. leaf basil, crumbled
- 1 tsp. salt
- 1/4 tsp. pepper
Directions

1Wash scallops in cold water; drain thoroughly between sheets of paper toweling.

2Place in a single layer in a large shallow baking dish; dot with butter or margarine.

3Sprinkle with parsley, basil, salt and pepper.

4Bake in 350° oven for 5 minutes.

5Stir scallops to coat well with butter mixture.

6Bake 20 minutes longer or until tender.

7Serve buttery sauce from dish over mashed or baked potatoes, if you wish.
