  • 8 oz. plain Hershey chocolate candy
  • 5 1/2 oz. can chocolate syrup
  • 1 c. (2 sticks) butter or margarine
  • 2 c. sugar
  • 4 eggs
  • 2 1/2 c. flour
  • 1/2 tsp. soda
  • 1 c. buttermilk
  • 1 c. pecans
  • 1 tsp. vanilla

    Melt Hershey candy and syrup in double boiler.

    Cool.

    Cream butter and sugar; add whole eggs, one at a time.

    Add chocolate mixture.

    Add flour and soda alternately with buttermilk.

    Add nuts and vanilla.

    Bake 1 1/2 hours at 325°, using greased tube pan.
