- 1 large Hershey bar
- 2 stick margarine
- 2 c. sugar
- 4 eggs
- 2 3/4 c. sifted flour
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 1 tsp. baking soda
- 1 c. buttermilk
- 1 c. nuts, chopped
Directions

1Melt Hershey bar in top of double boiler over hot water.

2Cool. Cream margarine with sugar.

3Beat until smooth.

4Add eggs one at a time beating well after each.

5Sift dry ingredients and add to creamed mixture alternately with buttermilk, beginning and ending with dry ingredients.

6Stir in nuts.

7Bake in 2 greased and floured 9-inch square cake pans in 350° preheated oven for about 35 to 40 minutes.

8Frost cake with your favorite frosting.
