- chicken broth or water
- minced onion (1 small per lb.)
- salt and pepper to taste
- cinnamon (2 to 3 tsp. per lb.)
- allspice (1 to 2 tsp. per lb.)
- nutmeg (1/2 to 1 tsp. per lb.)
- butter
Directions

1Brown beef and onions in butter; do not drain.

2Add spices (can adjust to taste).

3Add rice and brown for a few minutes, mixing well.

4Add chicken broth, water or combination of both (2 to 2 1/4 cups per cup rice).

5Bring to a boil and cook over very low heat until rice is done, stirring once or twice.

6Serve with tomato and cucumber salad and plain yogurt.
