Ingredients

  • 1/2 c. butter
  • 2 unsweetened chocolate squares
  • 1 c. sugar
  • 2 eggs, beaten
  • 1 tsp. vanilla
  • 1/4 tsp. salt
  • 1/2 to 1 c. nuts
  • 1/2 c. plus 2 Tbsp. flour

    Preheat oven to 350°.

    Grease and flour 8-inch pan.

    Melt butter and chocolate, cool to lukewarm.

    Gradually blend in sugar. Add beaten eggs and vanilla.

    Add flour and salt to chocolate mix.

    Stir in nuts.

    Spread in pan and bake 25 minutes.

    Cool before cutting.

    May frost or sprinkle with powdered sugar.

    May add 1/2 cup chocolate chips with nuts.

    May double recipe and use 9 x 13-inch pan.

    If you double just use 3 chocolate squares unless you like it really strong chocolate.
