High Protein Breakfast Bars

Ingredients

  • 2 c. all-purpose flour
  • 1 c. firmly packed brown sugar
  • 2 tsp. baking powder
  • 1/3 tsp. salt
  • 2/3 c. margarine
  • 2 1/2 c. oats, uncooked (dry)
  • 1 1/2 c. (6 oz.) shredded cheese
  • 6 slices bacon, crispy cooked and crumpled
  • 1/2 c. raisins
  • 1 1/2 c. milk

Directions

    Combine first 4 ingredients; then cut in margarine until mixture is coarse crumbs.

    Stir in oats, cheese, bacon and raisins.

    Add milk and mix just until dry ingredients are moistened.

    Spread into a greased 15 1/2 x 10 1/2-inch jelly roll pan.

    Bake at 350° for 35 to 40 minutes.

    Cool; cut into bars. Can be wrapped individually and frozen.
