- 1 cup water
- 1 cup sugar
- creme anglaise or heavy cream
Directions

1Place all the ingredients in a saucepan and bring slowly to the boil.

2Turn off the heat and allow the strawberries to stand, covered, in the saucepan for 2 to 3 minutes, depending on the size of the strawberries.
