Hillbilly Bean Soup

Ingredients
- 1 1/2 c. dry beans
- 1 lb. ham pieces
- 1 garlic clove
- 1 large chopped onion
- 1 large can tomatoes
- juice of 1 lemon
- salt and pepper to taste
- 1 pod green or red pepper, chopped
Directions

1Wash beans.

2Cover with water for 3 hours or overnight.

3Drain and add beans to 2 quarts fresh water.

4Add all other ingredients. Cook all day (or at least 4 hours).

5Good with fried corn bread. Enjoy!
