- 2 Tbsp. cornstarch
- chocolate cake mix
- 1 c. sugar
- 1 c. oleo
- 6 Tbsp. cocoa
- 1 egg
- 1 c. milk
- 1 tsp. vanilla
- 1/2 c. Crisco
- 2 Tbsp. oleo
- 3 c. powdered sugar
- 2 1/2 Tbsp. hot water
Directions

1Make chocolate cake mix according to package.

2Bake in a jelly roll pan.

3Bake at 350° for 15 to 20 minutes.

4Cool cake.

5Combine cornstarch and milk in pan.

6Cook until thick; cover and cool. Cream vanilla, sugar, Crisco and 1/2 cup oleo.

7Add to cornstarch mixture.

8Beat until fluffy.

9Spread onto cool cake.

10Melt 1/2 cup and 2 tablespoons oleo and cocoa.

11Mix well.

12Add powdered sugar, egg and hot water.

13Beat well and spread onto cake.

14Do quickly, the icing starts to settle immediately.

15Refrigerate and serve.
