- 2 1/2 c. leftover coffee
- 4 tsp. baking soda
- 2 c. raisins
- 1 c. white sugar
- 1/4 tsp. salt
- 1 c. brown sugar
- 4 c. sifted flour
- 1 1/2 c. broken up nut meats (optional)
Directions

1Bring coffee to a boil; remove from heat.

2Add baking soda and raisins.

3Cover; allow to stand overnight.

4In the morning, preheat oven to 325°.

5Grease and flour 3 (1-pound) coffee cans. Add sugars, flour, nuts and salt to coffee-raisin mixture.

6Mix well.

7Bake for 65 minutes.

8Cool 15 minutes in cans before removing.

9Serve with cream cheese or butter.
