Holiday Fruit Squares

Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 c. sugar
  • 1 c. margarine
  • 4 eggs
  • 2 c. flour
  • 1 Tbsp. vanilla
  • 1 can cherry, apple or blueberry pie filling
  • powdered sugar

Directions

    Gradually add sugar to margarine and beat until fluffy.

    Add eggs one at a time, mixing on low speed.

    Add flour and vanilla and mix well.

    Pour batter into a greased and floured 15 x 10-inch jelly roll pan.

    With a knife, mark 20 squares and place one tablespoon of filling in each.

    Bake at 350° until squares spring back when touched.

    While warm, sift powdered sugar over and cool. Cut into squares.
