- 10 c. popped popcorn
- 1 1/2 c. peanuts
- 1 stick butter
- 1 c. packed brown sugar
- 1/4 c. dark Karo syrup
- 1/4 tsp. salt
- 1/4 tsp. baking soda
- 1/4 tsp. vanilla
Directions

1Mix popcorn and peanuts in a 9 x 13-inch pan.

2Keep warm in a 250° oven.

3Melt butter, sugar, corn syrup and salt.

4Bring to a boil, stirring constantly. Cook 5 minutes without stirring. Remove from heat. Stir in baking soda and vanilla.

5Quickly pour over popcorn and peanuts. Toss until well coated. Spread in shallow pan and bake at 250° for 45 minutes. Break into pieces and put in covered container.
