Homemade Eggnog

- 12 eggs
- 4 c. sugar
- 1 1/2 gal. milk
- 3 pt. whipping cream
- 1 1/4 pt. bourbon
- 1/2 qt. sweet sherry
- 1/2 pt. dark rum
- 1 Tbsp. vanilla
- 1 Tbsp. nutmeg
Directions

1Separate eggs.

2Put yolks in very large pot and refrigerate whites.

3Add sugar to yolks and blend thoroughly.

4Slowly, add 1/2 bourbon to yolks and sugar (too fast will scramble the eggs!). Next, add the rest of the alcohol (you don't need to do this slowly).

5Add the milk.

6Beat the whipping cream until it peaks, then fold into mixture.

7Finally, whip the egg whites and fold into the mixture.

8This delicious brew will keep for several weeks!
