- 5 eggs separated into yolks and whites
- 3/4 cup sugar
- 1/2 cup vegetable oil
- 3/4 cup honey
- 1/4 teaspoon ground cloves
- 1 teaspoon cinnamon
- 1 pinch salt
- 1 1/2 cups all purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
Directions

1Preheat the oven to 170°/340°F.

2In a large bowl, beat together the egg whites and sugar with an electric mixer at high speed until soft peaks form.

3In a separate bowl, whisk together the egg yolks, oil, honey, cinnamon, cloves, and salt.

4Add the flour to the honey mixture and mix slowly with the mixer on low speed until blended.

5Gently fold the flour mixture into the egg whites.

6Pour batter into a large cake pan or 2 loaf pans and bake for 55 to 60 minutes, until golden brown on top and a toothpick inserted in the middle comes out clean. Allow to cool slightly before serving.
