Honey Fudge Squares

Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup butter
  • 2 squares (1 oz. each) unsweetened chocolate
  • 2 eggs
  • 1/2 cup liquid honey
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1 tsp. vanilla
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour, sifted
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 1/2 tsp. baking powder
  • 1/2 cup chopped walnuts

Directions

    Melt butter and chocolate in top of double boiler; cool slightly.

    Beat eggs until fluffy.

    Gradually beat in honey, sugar, vanilla and chocolate mixture.

    Stir in sifted dry ingredients and nuts.

    Pour into a greased 9-inch square pan and bake 20 to 25 minutes at 350F.

    Cool.

    Spread with chocolate icing or melted semisweet chocolate and cut in squares.
