- 1/2 c. butter, at room temperature
- 2/3 c. firmly packed light brown sugar
- 2 eggs
- 1 1/2 c. all-purpose flour
- 2 tsp. baking powder
- 2 tsp. ground cinnamon
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 1/2 c. milk
- 1 c. finely chopped almonds, hazelnuts, walnuts or pecans
- 2 Tbsp. honey, warmed (for decoration)
- assorted whole nuts (for decoration)
Directions

1Preheat oven to 350°.

2Grease an 8 x 4-inch loaf pan.

3In a medium bowl, beat butter and brown sugar 5 to 8 minutes or until light and fluffy.

4Add eggs; beat until blended.

5Sift flour, baking powder, cinnamon and salt into a medium bowl.

6Stir flour mixture into egg mixture alternately with milk, stirring until combined.

7Fold in chopped nuts.
