Hot Caramel Apple Cider

- 12 whole cloves
- 1 orange
- 2 quarts apple cider
- 3 cinnamon sticks
- 1 cup heavy whipping cream
- 13 cup caramel sauce (such as Smuckers)
- whipped cream, to garnish
- ground cinnamon or cinnamon stick, to garnish
Directions

1Press cloves into skin of an orange.

2In a large stockpot, over medium-high heat, bring apple cider to a boil.

3Add prepared orange and cinnamon sticks.

4Reduce heat, and simmer on low for about 1 hour.

5Stir in cream and caramel sauce.

6Cook until just heated through.

7Garnish with whipping cream and ground cinnamon (or cinnamon sticks), if desired.

8Serve immediately.

9Note: Can also be made by the mug in the microwave (use a little orange juice in place of the whole orange), or in the crockpot for larger groups.
