  • 2 tsp. baking powder
  • 1 c. sweet milk (1/2 canned, 1/2 water)
  • 1 stick butter
  • vanilla flavoring

    Beat eggs.

    Add sugar, beat thoroughly.

    Add flour and baking powder; beat until smooth.

    Heat milk and butter, but do not boil. Add to mixture, a little at a time, beating all the time.

    Flavor with vanilla or lemon.

    Bake in layers or a mold at 350° for about 30 minutes.

    Check when smell.

    Makes 3 layer cake.
