- 1 c. unsifted flour
- 1/2 c. margarine (cold)
- 1/2 c. small curd cottage cheese
- 6 (5-inch) precooked Polish sausage
- 1 Tbsp. Dijon mustard
- 1 egg
- 1 Tbsp. milk
Directions

1Cut butter into 1/2-inch pieces.

2Cut into flour until mixture is in pea-sized pieces.

3Stir in cottage cheese until a stiff dough forms.

4Add 2 to 3 teaspoons ice water.

5Divide into 6 parts.

6Roll each part to make a rectangle 6 inches long and 3 inches wide.

7Spread with 1 teaspoon mustard.

8Top with a sausage. Roll pastry around sausage, encasing it completely.

9Brush with water to seal.

10Seal ends.

11Place seam side down on cookie sheet. Prick once or twice with fork.

12Repeat for remaining sausages. Mix egg and milk.

13Brush on pastry.

14Bake at 400° for 20 to 25 minutes or until nicely browned.

15Slice into 1-inch pieces. Arrange on serving tray.
