  • 4 large beets
  • 3 large potatoes
  • 2 large carrots Target 2 lb For $3.00 thru 02/06

  • 1/2 rutabaga
  • 1 bottle (250 mL) Kraft Fat Free Catalina Dressing
  • 2 tsp. dried dill weed
  • 1 tsp. each: caraway seed and freshly ground black pepper
  • 1 can (28 fl oz/796 mL) whole tomatoes, crushed
  • 3 cans (10 fl oz/284 mL) condensed beef broth
  • 2 cups each: finely sliced red and green cabbage

Directions

    PEEL and chop vegetables, place in a large, heavy saucepan.

    Add dressing and seasonings; stir and cook on medium-high heat until vegeatbles are tender.

    Add tomatoes and broth; bring to boil.

    Reduce heat and simmer 1 hour.

    SERVE hot or cold with sour cream or yogurt.
