Ingredients
- 1 pkg. yeast, dissolved in 1 c. lukewarm water
- 1 c. mashed potatoes
- 1 c. water (from cooking water for potatoes)
- 1/3 c. shortening
- 2/3 c. sugar
- 1 tsp. salt
- 5 or 6 c. plain flour
Directions

1Mix together in large bowl, sugar, salt, shortening and hot potato water with potatoes.

2Cool.

3Add yeast dissolved in 1 cup warm water.

4Let stand for 1 hour.

5Add enough flour until the consistency of biscuit dough.

6Grease top.

7Cover and store in refrigerator until ready to use.

8Make rolls 2 hours before baking.

9Let rise and bake at 400°.

10Brush with butter or margarine.

11Dough will keep for several days in refrigerator.
