Icebox Rolls

Ingredients

  • 3/4 c. Crisco or butter
  • 1 c. mashed potatoes
  • 1 pkg. dry yeast
  • 1/2 c. sugar
  • 1 c. sweet milk
  • 2 eggs, beaten
  • 4 c. self-rising flour

Directions

    Put yeast in 1/2 cup warm water.

    Let stand 10 minutes.

    Mash potatoes; add Criso, sugar, beaten eggs, milk and yeast.

    Let stand 10 minutes.

    Knead in 4 cups self-rising flour.

    Let rise; then knead again and put in icebox or bake.
  7. 7
    Sometimes it takes a little more flour to make out your rolls.

    I pinch off and put my rolls in muffin tins and make clover leaf rolls.
