Ingredients
- 7 lb. cucumbers
- 2 c. pickling lime
- 2 gal. water
- 2 qt. vinegar
- 4 1/2 lb. sugar (10 1/8 c.)
- 1 Tbsp. whole spices
- 1 Tbsp. mixed spices
- 1 Tbsp. celery seed
- 1 Tbsp. whole cloves
- 1 Tbsp. canning salt
Directions

1Slice cucumbers in strips, removing the seeds.

2Soak 24 hours in lime and water.

3Pour solution off of cucumbers and soak for 3 hours in clean water (be sure you do not pour lime down your drain).

4Combine remaining ingredients and soak cucumbers overnight.

5Boil for 35 minutes.

6Place in canning jars and allow to set.

7A hot water bath may be necessary for jars to seal.
