- 3 c. milk
- 3 tsp. butter
- 1/2 c. cornmeal
- 1/2 c. brown sugar
- 1/2 c. molasses
- 4 eggs, well beaten
- 1/2 tsp. ground ginger
- 1/2 tsp. cinnamon
- 1/2 tsp. mace
- 1/4 tsp. salt
- 1/2 c. sour cream
Directions

1Scald the milk.

2Add butter.

3Gradually beat in the corn meal. Stir until slightly thickened.

4Remove from stove.

5Add other ingredients, beating well.

6Pour into a well buttered casserole. Bake in a 275° to 300° oven for 2 hours.

7Serve warm or cold with whipped cream or vanilla ice cream.
