5 steps

Ingredients

  • 4 apples
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup chopped walnuts
  • 1/4 cup raisins
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 14 phyllo sheet strudel 18 x 14-inch
  • 1/2 cup imperial spread

Directions

  1. 1
Preheat oven to 400°. Lightly grease baking sheet; set aside.
  2. 2
Combine apples, sugar, walnuts, raisins and cinnamon in 12-inch nonstick skillet and cook covered over medium heat, stirring occasionally, 15 minutes or until apples are tender. Remove from heat and cool completely.
  3. 3
Cover phyllo with plastic wrap, then damp cloth. Remove 2 sheets at a time. Place 1 sheet phyllo on work surface, brush with Imperial(R) Spread, then place another sheet on top, brushing with additional Spread. Cut into 3 even strips, about 18 x 4 inches each.
  4. 4
Spoon about 2 tablespoons apple mixture on one end of each phyllo strip. Fold bottom right corner over to left side, continue folding ''flag style'' creating a triangular package for the apple filling. Brush top with melted Spread. Repeat with remaining phyllo.
  5. 5
Arrange strudel on baking sheet. Bake 20 minutes or until lightly golden. Serve warm, if desired, with a scoop of Breyers(R) Natural Vanilla Ice Cream.
