- 4 c. flour
- 1 large egg, beaten
- 1 c. raisins
- 1/3 c. caraway seed (optional)
- 2 tsp. baking soda
- 1 tsp. baking powder
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 1/3 c. melted butter (oil or margarine may also be used)
- milk (enough to moisten)
- 1/4 c. white vinegar to make milk sour
Directions

1Grease muffin pans well with butter all the way to the top of each pan.

2Fill batter high; sprinkle tops with sugar.

3Bake for 25 to 30 minutes at 375°.

4Makes 12 large muffins.
