Ingredients
- 1/3 c. flour
- 1 1/2 tsp. salt
- dash of pepper
- 1 1/2 lb. lean lamb, cut in 1-inch cubes
- 2 tsp. fat
- 3 c. water
- 3 medium onions, sliced
- 4 medium potatoes, cubed
- 1 turnip, diced
- 5 medium carrots, quartered
- 1 1/2 c. frozen peas
- 1/4 c. water
Directions

1Combine flour, salt and pepper.

2Coat meat.

3Save remaining flour.

4Brown meat in hot fat in a 4 quart saucepan.

5Add water and cover.

6Simmer until meat is tender, about 1 1/2 hours.

7Add onions, potatoes, turnip and carrots.

8Cover.

9Simmer 15 minutes. Add peas.

10Cover and simmer until vegetables are tender.

11Blend water with remaining flour.

12Add to stew.

13Stir; cook until thick. Serves 6.
