Wild Rice Soup

Ingredients
- 1/2 c. wild rice, uncooked
- 1 1/2 c. water
- 1/2 lb. bacon
- 1/4 c. onion, chopped
- 2 (10 3/4 oz.) cans cream of potato soup, diluted with 1/2 can milk and 1/2 can water
- 1 qt. milk
- 2 1/2 c. (6 oz.) grated American cheese
Directions

1Cook wild rice in water until done (45 minutes to an hour). Cook bacon until crisp and crumble.

2Saute onion in little bacon grease. Place potato soup in large saucepan, dilute and add all other ingredients.

3Heat slowly, stirring often until cheese is melted, just below boiling point.

4Yields 8 to 10 servings.
