- 1 lb. lamb shoulder (boneless or lamb stew meat)
- 1 lb. potatoes
- 4 yellow onions
- 1 small head cabbage
- dash of salt and pepper
- 2 bay leaves
- 10 whole cloves
- 2 tsp. dried thyme
- 2 c. chicken or beef broth
- 4 Tbsp. finely chopped parsley
Directions

1Trim the meat and cut into chunks.

2Peel and slice potatoes and onions.

3Cut cabbage into strips.

4In a large pot, layer meat and vegetables.

5Add all seasonings.

6Add broth to barely cover meat and vegetables.

7Bring to a boil.

8Cover.

9Cook over medium-low heat for about 1 hour until the meat is tender and potatoes are cooked.

10Add more seasonings, if desired.

11Sprinkle with parsley. Serve steaming hot.
