- 3/4 c. (1 1/2 sticks) butter
- 2 c. sugar
- 1 1/2 c. flour
- 1/2 c. cocoa
- 1/2 tsp. baking powder
- 1/4 tsp. salt
- 4 eggs
- 2 tsp. vanilla
- 1 (12 oz.) pkg. chocolate chips
- 1/2 c. nuts
Directions

1In a 2 1/2 to 3 quart saucepan, over low heat, melt butter. Remove from heat.

2Add sugar, flour, cocoa, baking powder, salt, eggs and vanilla.

3Stir with spoon until blended and smooth. Stir in 1 1/2 cups of chips and nuts.

4Put in a 13 x 9-inch pan and bake at 350°.

5Sprinkle 1/2 cup chips on top.

6Before baking, cool and cut into 2-inch squares.
