Ingredients

  • 1 lb. Italian sausage
  • 1 lb. hamburger
  • 8 oz. (scant 2 c.) uncooked macaroni
  • 2 (16 oz.) cans stewed tomatoes, undrained
  • 1 (8 oz.) can tomato sauce
  • 1 Tbsp. each: basil, oregano and garlic salt
  • 2 c. water
  • 1 lb. Muenster (or any other) cheese, sliced

Directions

    Brown hamburger and sausage until done; drain.

    Combine rest of ingredients (except cheese) with meat.

    Do not precook macaroni.

    Bake in a 9 x 13-inch pan for 1 hour at 350°; top with cheese for last 15 minutes of baking.
