  • 3 slices fresh bread, torn
  • 1/2 c. milk or beef stock
  • 1 egg, lightly beaten
  • 1 tsp. oregano
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 3/4 tsp. pepper
  • 3 minced garlic cloves
  • 1 tsp. fennel seed (optional)
  • 1 1/2 lb. ground chuck
  • 1/2 c. Parmesan cheese
  • canned tomato sauce or spaghetti sauce

Directions

    Combine bread and milk in a small bowl.

    Beat egg in large bowl; add oregano, salt, pepper and garlic.

    Add beef and cheese; mix well.
