- 1 c. butter
- 2 c. sugar
- 6 egg yolks
- 4 c. sifted plain flour
- 1 tsp. cinnamon
- 1 tsp. nutmeg
- 2 tsp. soda
- 1/2 c. sour cream
- 6 egg whites
- 2 c. blackberry jam
Directions

1Cream butter and sugar until light and fluffy.

2Beat in egg yolks, one at a time, mixing well.

3Stir in jam, add flour which has been sifted with spices, alternately with sour cream and ending with flour.

4Fold in stiffly beaten egg whites.

5Bake in four 9-inch layers in 350° oven until center springs back when pressed with finger.

6(May also be baked in a tube pan.)

7Frost with Never Fail Frosting.
