- 3 c. flour
- 1 c. sugar
- 1 tsp. baking powder
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 1/2 c. butter
- 1/2 c. Parkay margarine
- 2 tsp. vanilla
- 1 1/2 to 1 3/4 c. apricot jam preserves (can use peach also)
Directions

1Sift together dry ingredients.

2Cut in shortening until pieces are size of peas.

3Add vanilla.

4Press about half of dough into 15 1/2 x 10 1/2-inch jelly roll pan.

5Spread with preserves.

6Roll remaining chilled dough and cut into strips and form lattice for top of cake.

7Press edges to bottom.

8Bake at 325° for 30 minutes. Cool.

9Cut.
