  • 1 cube butter
  • 1 c. sugar
  • 24 graham crackers
  • 1/2 c. chopped walnuts
  • 1 small carton whipping cream
  • 1 small can crushed pineapple, drained
  • 2 eggs, separated
  • 2 pkg. red Jell-O (mix according to directions on box)

Directions

    Cream butter and sugar.

    Add pineapple, egg yolks and nuts. Beat well.

    Fold in well-beaten egg whites.

    Place a layer of crushed graham crackers in 9 x 13-inch pan.

    Add pineapple filling, then another layer of graham cracker crumbs.

    Then pour on Jell-O that is partly jelled.

    Refrigerate after jello is well set; spread with whipped cream that is slightly sweetened and beaten stiff.
