  • 3/4 c. onion, chopped
  • 3/4 c. catsup
  • 3/4 c. water
  • 1/3 c. lemon juice
  • 3 Tbsp. sugar
  • 3 Tbsp. Worcestershire sauce
  • 2 Tbsp. mustard
  • 2 tsp. salt
  • 1/2 tsp. pepper
  • 4 c. cooked meat (beef, ham or both)

Directions

    Heat oil and onion until soft.

    Add catsup, water, lemon juice, sugar, Worcestershire sauce, mustard, salt and pepper; simmer 15 minutes.

    Add chopped meat (cooked) and simmer until ready to serve on buns.

    To make 4 recipes = 12 tablespoons = 2/3 cup.
