  • 3 c. flour
  • 2 1/4 tsp. baking soda
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 3/4 c. soft shortening
  • 1/2 tsp. cinnamon
  • 1/2 tsp. ground cloves
  • 1/2 tsp. nutmeg
  • 1 tsp. allspice
  • 3 Tbsp. cocoa
  • 2 1/4 c. sugar
  • 3 eggs
  • 2 1/4 c. applesauce
  • 1 to 1 1/2 c. raisins (optional)

Directions

    Mix all ingredients together (about 2 minutes).

    Put into greased and floured Bundt pan.

    Cook 60 minutes in 350° oven. Frost with vanilla cream frosting or cream cheese frosting. (Freezes well, too.)
