  • 1/2 c. sugar
  • 1 c. corn syrup
  • 1/8 tsp. salt
  • 1 tsp. vanilla
  • 1/4 c. butter
  • 1 c. pecans
  • pastry for single pie

    Beat eggs.

    Add sugar, syrup, salt, vanilla and butter.

    Line pie pan with pastry.

    Put in pecans in a layer.

    Add mixture. Bake in moderate oven (350°) for 50 to 60 minutes.

    Nuts will rise to the top to form a crusted pie.
