Ingredients

  • 8 cups rolled oats
  • 1 cup pecans, chopped
  • 1 cup almonds, chopped
  • 1 cup peanuts, chopped
  • 1 cup maple syrup
  • 1 cup safflower oil
  • 1 cup currants

Directions

    Saute oats in small amount of oil in frying pan for 5 minutes, stirring constantly.

    Place in bowl with all other ingredients.

    Mix well.

    Spread on cookie sheet and bake until done but not burned -- about 20 minutes.

    Keep mixing so bottom doesn't get burned.

    The important thing about the ingredients is the ratio 8-1 between the rolled oats and everything else.
