Ingredients

  • 1/2 lb. ground beef
  • 1/2 clove garlic, minced
  • 1 1/2 Tbsp. chopped parsley
  • 1 1/2 Tbsp. basil
  • 3/4 tsp. salt
  • 1 c. tomatoes
  • 1 (6 oz.) can tomato paste
  • 1 (5 oz.) pkg. lasagna noodles
  • 1 (12 oz.) carton cottage cheese
  • 1 egg, beaten
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 1/4 tsp. pepper
  • 1 Tbsp. chopped parsley
  • 1/4 c. Parmesan cheese
  • 1/4 lb. Mozzarella cheese

Directions

    Brown ground beef and drain.

    Add garlic, parsley, basil, salt, tomatoes and tomato paste.

    Simmer uncovered until thickened.

    Cook noodles and drain.

    Rinse in cold water.

    Combine egg, cottage cheese, salt and pepper, parsley and the Parmesan cheese.

    Alternate layers of noodles, cottage cheese mixture, beef mixture and Mozzarella cheese.

    Bake 30 minutes at 375°.

    Let stand 10 minutes before cutting.
