Ingredients
- 2 c. flour
- 2 1/2 tsp. baking powder
- 1/2 tsp. baking soda
- dash of salt
- 1 Tbsp. sugar
- 1/2 c. margarine
- 3/4 c. buttermilk
- 1 Tbsp. melted butter
Directions

1Mix flour, baking powder, baking soda, salt and sugar in mixing bowl.

2Cut in butter or margarine with pastry blender until mixture resemble coarse crumbs.

3Add buttermilk.

4Mix quickly to make a soft dough.

5Turn out onto lightly floured surface.

6Knead a few times to make a soft dough; don't overknead or the biscuits will turn hard and dry.

7Roll out to a 6 x 6-inch square.

8Place on ungreased baking sheet.

9With knife, cut dough into 12 even portions; do not separate.

10Bake at 400° about 15 minutes.

11Dust with flour and melted butter.
