Ingredients: 6 apples; 2 c. sugar; 4 Tbsp. sugar; 1/8 tsp. cinnamon; 3 egg whites; 1 whole egg; 1/2 c. vegetable oil; 1/2 c. applesauce; 2 c. sugar; 1/4 c. orange juice; 2 tsp. vanilla; 3 c. flour; 3 tsp. baking powder

1/8 tsp. cinnamon

1 whole egg
1/2 c. vegetable oil
1/2 c. applesauce
2 c. sugar
1/4 c. orange juice
2 tsp. vanilla
3 c. flour
3 tsp. baking powder

Heavily grease (cooking spray works well) a tube pan and coat with cinnamon-sugar mixture (4 tablespoons sugar and 1/8 teaspoon cinnamon).

Reserve leftover cinnamon and sugar.

Peel and cut up 6 apples (small pieces).

Coat with remaining cinnamon-sugar and set aside.
