- 1 pkg. dry yeast
- 2 Tbsp. warm water
- 4 c. flour
- 1/4 c. sugar
- 1 tsp. salt
- 1 tsp. lemon rind
- 3/4 c. margarine
- 3 egg yolks
- 1 c. heavy cream or evaporated milk
Directions

1Soften yeast in warm water.

2In a medium-size mixing bowl, combine the flour, sugar, salt and lemon rind.

3Add margarine and mix with hand until well blended.

4In small bowl, beat the egg yolks with a fork; add cream or milk and yeast and stir well.

5Add to flour mixture and stir until well blended with fork or spoon. Cover well and store in refrigerator overnight.

6When ready to shape rolls, pat the dough out on a floured surface and roll out to 1/4 inch thickness.

7Cut with a 2 inch cutter and place on ungreased baking sheet.

8Cover with a light cloth and let rise for 1 hour.

9Make a depression in the center of each roll and place a bit of filling on each one.

10Bake in 375° oven for 10 minutes or until light brown.

11Frost while still warm.
