- 1/2 inch pieces ginger, peeled and thinly sliced
- 2 cups water
- 1 x 1 inch konbu
- 1/2 teaspoon soy sauce
- 1/3 teaspoon salt
Directions

1Put all the ingredients in a pot. Turn on the heat to medium.

2When it boils, turn down the heat to low, cover, and cook for 10-15 minutes.

3Remove the ginger and konbu (the konbu can be used for cooking), and serve.
