- 20 to 25 (4-inch) pickling cucumbers
- 1 qt. cider vinegar
- 1 c. pickling salt
- 3 qt. water
- powdered alum
- cloves of garlic
- heads of dill
Directions

1Wash cucumbers.

2Let stand in cold water overnight (add ice). Pack into clean quart canning jars.

3Add to each quart 1/8 teaspoon powdered alum, 1 clove of garlic, crushed, and 2 heads of dill.
