- 1 lb. sweet butter
- 1/2 c. powdered sugar
- 1 egg yolk
- 1 tsp. vanilla, 1/2 tsp. almond extract or 1 jigger whiskey
- 4 to 5 c. flour
Directions

1Beat butter and sugar until creamy, about 15 minutes.

2Add egg yolk and flour.

3Beat until well blended.

4Gradually add flour until the mixture holds shape (crescent round, etc.).

5Place on greased cookie sheet.

6Bake at 350° for 20 to 30 minutes until lightly brown.

7Allow to cool slightly before removing from pan.
