  • 1 c. sugar
  • 1 c. coarse salt
  • 1 c. white vinegar
  • 1 gal. water

Directions

    Wash and drain cabbage.

    Then shred and pack in a quart jar. Put 1 hot banana pepper in center for hot kraut.

    Bring water, salt, sugar and vinegar to a boil.

    Pour over kraut.

    Seal.

    Ready to eat in one week.
