  • 2 tablespoons oil
  • 1/2 pound lamb stewing, cut into bite-size pieces
  • 1 onion small, chopped
  • 2 garlic chopped
  • 1 sage leaves
  • 1/2 teaspoon dried sage
  • 3 tomato chopped
  • salt
  • pepper
  • 19 ounces brown lentils drained, and, rinsed
  • 2 cups water

Directions

    Preheat your oven to 375F.Heat an ovenproof pot over medium-high heat, add the oil.

    Dust the lamb with flour, salt & pepper. Cook the lamb for 3 minutes, until it is browned on all sides.

    Add the remaining ingredients to the pot, stir it all together and put it in the oven.

    Let it cook, covered for 30 minutes, or until the lamb is tender and the lentils have absorbed most of the water.
