Ingredients

  • 8 to 10 lasagna noodles
  • 1/4 c. chopped onion
  • 1/4 tsp. minced garlic
  • 2 tsp. oregano
  • 2 (15 oz.) cans tomato sauce
  • 1 lb. Mozzarella cheese, shredded
  • 1 lb. hamburger
  • salt and pepper to taste
  • pinch of sugar

Directions

    In electric skillet, brown onions, garlic and hamburger. Drain fat.

    Add sauce, oregano, salt, pepper and sugar; simmer for 20 minutes (covered skillet).

    Cook noodles in meantime as directed; drain and chill noodles in cold water.

    Arrange one portion of noodles in greased 9 x 9-inch pan.

    Cover with 1 portion sauce, 1 layer cheese; repeat until all ingredients are used.

    Bake at 375° for 30 minutes.

    Let stand 10 minutes before serving.
